Better Health Centre opened in July 2010 with a simple idea: people get better care when they feel heard. We take time to understand your concerns, explain what is happening in plain language, and agree the next steps with you.
Dr. José Melissa Davy brings 22 years of experience since qualifying as a doctor. Her medical career began in radiology at 18, taking X-rays and learning ultrasound, before she entered medical school at 19.
She has trained in infectious diseases, tropical medicine, and infection prevention and control, and is an Aviation Medical Examiner. She has represented St. Vincent and the Grenadines at regional and international conferences on HIV, tuberculosis and arboviral diseases.
She founded Better Health Centre to offer more individual attention to people who need someone to listen. Every patient is treated with respect. Appointments are a conversation, with decisions made together rather than instructions handed down.
Prevention comes first: you do not have to wait until you feel unwell to visit. Dr. Davy encourages patients to come in early, talk about their health and address concerns before they become bigger problems.
